A fun and entertaining evening with stories from Geneva's meltingpot...
A High-Level Dialogue on environmental governance, on the road to Stockholm+50, in the birthplace of Sustainable Development and UNEP (as first GC took place in Geneva).
To mark the 20th anniversary of the Geneva Environment Network, UNEP is hosting a high-level dialogue on environmental governance at the place where, almost 50 years ago, the first governing council meeting took place, setting up UNEP and the Sustainable Development agenda. The meeting will also serve as the starting point for a dialogue in the run up to Stockholm+50 and the 50th anniversary of UNEP in 2022.
This event will discuss how to continue placing the environment high on the political agenda building on the existing momentum led by young people all over the world and the vital work done by UNEP and many others. It hopes to strengthen the support of the Swiss Federal Government and use the Geneva region as a strong global hub for environmental governance in shaping the world’s environment for the future.
