Set up in 1999, with the support of the Swiss Federal Office for the Environment, the GEN secretariat actively promotes increased cooperation and networking between its members. GEN strengthens positive interactions between environmental organizations and activities to encourage interactions between environmental activities and those relating to social and economic development.
